Amanda Knox, the young American exchange student studying in Italy was accused and found guilty of murder of Meridith Kirchner.After a counter defence in a second trial Amanda Knox was acquitted of the murder and returned to her home in Seattle, USA in October 2011. When everybody believed that she had put the trauma of 4 years in prison behind her and being sentenced to 26 years in an Italian prison, the case has recently been reopened by the Italian courts and is expected to commence in 2014.
Amanda Knox has now released her account of her arrest, her time spent in prison and in her new book reveals that during her incarceration she was often summoned during the night to the office of a prison officer,Raffaele Argiro, who then sexually harassed her asking to have sex with her.
Amanda Knox also writes about her experiences of being approached by another female inmate who wanted to start a lesbian relationship with Amanda. The book is controversial and a full account of Amanda’s personal hell of four years in an Italian prison, never knowing what her fate would be.
